One of my favorite things to do growing up was wandering through the pasture hunting for treasures. I'd find interesting rocks and stones, rusted old metal, and cow skulls. The space, colors, and forms have been and continue to be my inspiration.

I grew up a in the country near a small town. I traversed the woods, creek, and small streams. I made a home in my forts in the haymow, pasture, and woods where my treasures would be collected. I learned about life and death, and the living was hard. It was during this time and these secret places where I connected with the land and the country. I believe this is why I am drawn to clay; earth. When I am working with it I feel calm and content like I did in the forts I created.
Between my family and teaching I have not had the right time to focus on creating a business. Right now I work on commission and create pieces for family, friends, and acquaintances. This currently works for my schedule and allows me to be present for my young children. This will shift as my children grow and do not require as much. If you are interested any pieces or would like to commission a work, please reach out to me via email by completing the 'Contact Us' form below.
